CMG Researchers Create Massive Diffusion Database

July 2016

CMG members Dr. Henry Wu, Mrs. Tam Mayeshiba, and Professor Dane Morgan have used high-throughput ab initio methods to develop the world’s largest computed database of impurity diffusion coefficients. This data will support researchers in overcoming materials challenges in areas ranging from radiation damage in steels to doping semiconductors. The data can be found and explored at diffusiondata.materialshub.org. A news release can be found on the College of Engineering website. Please see the published paper in the journal Scientific Data.
